where moving into a new house. I'm into fish and fishing. wondering if i could persuade my mom too add a pond in the back yard because we are not adding anything into the back yard and id like too be able too use it more then we have ever used our previous back yard. how much do ponds cost too make? what are different fish you can add into ponds? what is the up keeping costs? and what is the minimum size pond you can have? thinking around $200 pond? if its more i could put some money into it. thanks!

Keep saving your money and exhaust this forum. Look at different styles of filtration, fish stocking, plant material etc. Not to bust your bubble, but a little more funds and research will do you wonders.

agreed, bigger is better.

i collected most of my supplies, rocks, plants, blocks, flagstone etc...took a couple of years, then paid for liners and pumps built all the fitration (saved a lot here) and I have over 10,000 gallons for around 2500 bucks over 7 years

Then again $200 will get you a 600 gallon above ground pond with DIY filter done up in ultimate ghetto style:headbang2

Hopefully 125blackfire comes back after his 1.5 mo hiatus to respond.
