Trying to come up with an idea for a pond filter. I am going to be rebuilding the pond in the next couple of weeks and am trying to think of ways to get away from the canister filter I have for as cheap as possible. I have 2 Hozelock Cipro Pond filters one with UV Light one without. Both of these would need parts. Which in the US are hard to come by. I also have a seperate UV Light but I'm pretty sure the bulb has failed. That being said, The pond is 7' x 4' x 4' Exactly as it's been framed out in the ground using Plywood and backfilled. Then lined with insulation and has a Firestone liner. I have an Aquasurge 2000 GPH pump Brand new in box to use for whatever I come up with. What's I'd like to do is run 1 line off of the pump and up to the filter, I'd like to split the return, One line to my Waterfall and the other through a UV then to my Spitting frog. I have been googling trying to find a good DIY Filter that has easy maintenance ideas but have been getting no results. I also have a couple of spare Hayward Sand filters practically brand new that I could maybe incorporate but was unsure about the pump being strong enough. Any links to some good builds that may help out? Mike
