Hi all, i live on the otherside so its summer here and my pond fish were caught spawning yesterday.:naughty: Last year i wasnt that prepared, but this year i've seperated the boys and girls. Mainly so i can control who goes where and with who. I just have large shubunkins and calico fantails outside. I pulled a plant that has eggs everywhere and put it in the shed away from light, added some meth blue (for fungused eggs) and an airstone. So 2 more days i should have my 1st batch of fry hatching.:D

Have painfully gone through and removed most of the white fuzzy eggs. Im thinking the water is a bit cold yet as they still havent hatched but i can see a black line in there. I also managed to scrape some eggs off the bottom of the pond, I have them in an ice-cream container and can see the fry forming in the egg. From memory, last year it took 4-5 days to hatch, then another 2 to be free swming. Fingers X'ed.

Yep, gave them their 1st taste of insofuria today. definatley over 100 fry. The fish spawned all day ;) (that day) but weather has turned for the worst. I Have all my tubs ready for growing out.

Looks like another pond is in order, 100 fry to start!

They have a new invention (to your area maybe) called a camera, It captures the spirit of whatever you point it at and allows you to share it with others at great distances.

Come on... Quit teasing and show us!!!:ROFL:
