I have a question for anyone who has breed large Bichirs. I would like to know the approximate dimensions of the breeding tank the breeding took place in, floor space (length and width of tank) and volume of water (length, width and water level) in gallons.
I am building an indoor pond for my adult breeding trio of ornates and have decided on 18" walls (with extensions as jump/splash guards) and will adjust the water level between 12" and 16" simulating rainy season, but I have fiddled with several designs pertaining to different floor areas.
