I am building a 1,000-2,000 gallon pond in my backyard and looking for a quality pump and filter. I am hopefully going to build my own filter and looking at suggestions for what homemade filter to build.

I would get one but they are too far out of my price range does anyone know one that is around 100-225??
This guy sells refurbished pumps from geoglobal (pumps you find at homedepot) super cheap, I attached the pumps he sells and the 5100 which is their largest model, also have a nice 1300uv and some in between the two. I've had one of the smaller ones (refurbed) running for over a year now in my turtle tank and a 1300uv but have never been able to use it but my gf works for them and got me a refurb.

I took a look into those pumps and they are looking a tad bit under powered for what I will need. Does anyone have any filter tips??
