Okay i am looking to build a pond for probably 2 RTC, MFK has inspired me.

i was wondering what pools you guys recommend, brands? dimensions for 2 RTC?

i was thinking of a DIY filtration system, but if not what brands/filters do you guys recommend?
as well as which DIY filters work best?

what heaters are recommended for these pools?

which liners for the pools? i heard RTC break through some of them.

any information you guys can give me to help, i'm sure i could go out n buy a bunch of stuff, but thought i'd ask you guys. try to get the best for my money and do it right the first time.

yeah, ive seen a lotta intex and heard steel frames are almost a must. and i hear some ar ebetter than other, probably just go for the thickest one i can find. and put two layers.

Build a wooden frame and line it with 45mil. or block walls and epoxy/pond armor.
DIY filters can be easily made (skippy) and cheaper than a few X5's.
A big sump could be made from a used 220 to add filtration and surface skimming.
Heaters can be housed in filter and might not be necessary if pond is housed in a warm location.

here something for you been there done that my rtcs and ripsaw and shovel nose are in a 12'x6'x4' pond with a 500 gallon side sump 2 fx5's i got off ebay for $100 each new uv sitr and in size the tank is a 5000 gallon laguna pond filter and just two 300 watt heaters to keep a nice temp of 79F. ill post the link of my pond build as soon as i find it any questions just ask.
