hello i have been kicking around the idea of building a large aquarium i will need to update shortly since i have stingrays now i havent seen many pond style aquariums but since i only need the surface area i thought of making it pond style/ does anyone have ideas on this good or bad i would like to hear any options and i have lots of room to work with. thanx for looking

:nilly:

There are a huge amount of custom indoor ponds located in the DIY section. Just do a quick search, there are some great examples.

Do a search there is alot of people which have made the own ponds inside their home , i am doing one my self inside a shed for my Silver Awo' , Oscars and posibly some Stingrays .

get a blow up kiddy pool that would be cheap quick and easy

I've read that people use the Intex pools. I was going to get an 8' one, but decided against it. W/ two young children and a cat I didn't trust it. I bought a Rubbermaid 300g stock tank instead.

Zennzzo is using something similar, not a long term solution but working fine

Try one of these: http://www.lagunaponds.com/lagunaeng/basins.php

Pat at Amazon Stingrays in the Vendor section can get you a great deal on one. He has a couple in his store and they work great. Shipping won't be a problem. Tell him Tony sent you!!!!!

Heating an Intex pond will put a little dent in your wallet. I just talked to a guy who has a 10' intex in his basement for a couple of years and is taking it down to safe a little $$$.
