In the caiman den
I am trying to get some ideas together for a caiman enclosure. part of it will be a pond.
11' by 7' and 4.5' tall. gonna be a heck of a build. probably wont be for 6 months or so. But i want to line the entire enclosure with a pond liner. half will be planted, and the liner will be under the soil and plantes.
So my question is how thick of a liner will i need to prevent tearing from the caiman claws and the roots of the plants.

:headbang2!!This is gonna be a sweet build!!:headbang2

no one know??

i agree... if you could get a premade plastic liner form for a pond and coat that with concrete that would be the way to go. just remember the max size is 8.5 feet. good luck.!.

8.5 feet for what? Im getting a female(hopefully) cuviers dwarf caiman.
i dont really want to do a preformed. And those are no were near large enough. What is pond armour? i heard about it.

come on peeps!!! help me out. trying to get ready for this !!!

nobody???
MODS, move this to reptile forum so i can get some help.

.45 mm is thick, but if the caimans gets spooked it would rip the liner. Did you ever think about tileing the encloser?

thats a good idea!!!
again could a mod help me out???
i know somebody has to come in here.....
