i was wondering if there are any shade loving pond plants?, or plants that will do ok in the shade. maybe some that i don't have to bring in in the winter but id like both types listed, and also any none pond plants that like shade that i could maybe build boxes for, thank you

All aquatics will grow in shade. They may not thrive or flower in shade, but the will survive. Some lilllies will flower w/ferts., again not being happy w/less than, at very least a couple hours of direct sun light.

Pickerel Weed (Ponterdia) will flower and do good in shade.
Water Lettuce will take a decent amount of shade.
Sedges love shade.
Acorus will take some as well.

Got to local lakes and ponds to see witch natives are growing in shady locals.

id love to go look but i don't know were any are, all ponds I've ever seen was in horse or cattle pastures so nothing but grass every were. and always in the sun, maybe it would help if i post were this pond would be and all that so y'all can see, I'll do that when i get in, i need go check the horses

sorry i didn't get this to ya yesterday like i had said, i twisted m ankle so i decided just go to bed.

the pond will be above ground and under the grape vines and trellis, the grape vines are being moved and a another kind will be out in "some kinda one my brother got mom for mothers day and maybe a rose vine", anyway the pic is below, i need to find out if the concrete will hold the pond, it will be made into an L shape with a walk way around most of it, so you can get to the swings. i was thinking of maybe fancy gold fish in this one since we still have planned the big wall type one with windows for koi, thanks
