would I be able to use a 3/4hp hayward pool pump or any pool pump work on my 15x10x4 pond

Have to find out if the pool pump is designed for constant running and also the power usage. For example it might use more power in a month than a proper pond pump would cost and it might be stuffed in a year of constant running.
