i have a 50 gallon pond it is 2 feet deepwill i need to bring my fish in for the winter or leave them out and put a pice of fiberglass insulationon top and how in the world do you get rid of algy i have used 4 different algicides and none work i dont want to try plants till next year.

50g, bring them in, then empty and clean the pond out and start over in the spring.

Yes, just quarentine and check for diseases first.

Just as long as the tank is big enough for the size and amount of Gfish.

Same as Joe... Bring fish in, QT them or place them in their own tank. With a pond that small just drain the water and start over next year. Are you using a filter? How many and what size are the fish living in the pond?
