Pond Raised Midas

Bought this from Jeff Rapps a while back and when I ran out of room, I threw him in my brothers Koi pond when he was about 2"-3".... Pond is about 4000 gallons. My brother was thinning his pond and had to drain it.... this is what we discovered! He's 6"-7" and looking stunning! A piebald like pattern! I decided to bring him home to my mini pond (150 gallons) since winter is around the corner and it would be too difficult to find him in the Koi pond without draining it again. What do you think?

He's turned out great.
My 'barred' Midas has been growing about .5"-.75"/month.
he's 9" now.
5 months ago i got him when he was 4" for my birthday from a friend.
he's grown to be my favorite fish!

the midas looks good, but i'm sure he/she will change colors in a home aquarium...keep us updated if he/she keeps its colors

Very nice markings.
I think it achieved it's best patterning with the help of being in that pond.

Don't think it'll stay that way unless he remains in the pond..... sunlight does wonders to fish! I also put my Chancho pair outside.... we'll see how they end up...
