So if anyone has seen my threads you saw that a put a pool pond in my garage for the summer. In it is my 2 petina splendida, vieja synspilum, vieja maculicauda, mono pbass, and my common pleco. It's up it running it's great I love it. The fish seem to love it. My big concern. .. We had a really hot weekend in Pa. It was actually great. The water was 82 for 2 days. Perfect. Last night the temp dropped quite a bit. The water went from 82 sun night to 76 mon morning. Is this going to be a big problem.

Maybe at first but probably not When I first put fish out that haven’t been used to it I put them in glass tanks where I can watch. Sometimes you get an ich outbreak the same as you sometimes see when you order fish. But I’m putting fish out in late March in some cases and April for sure for the others. My fish will see water in the 50s a couple mornings.

With the temps your talking it’s doubtful there would be a problem and if there will it will be soon. They get tougher not weaker as they stay out.
long term the fish will be fine they’ll acclimate to it and when your water hits 90 and your stressed out about cooking them it feels good to see the water at 75 the next morning. Once the fish are used to it a 15 degree swing over a day or night isn’t a crisis.and you aren’t even talking about 10
