So i was wondering, what is the difference between pond UVs and aquarium UVs.

Aquariums UVs cover much less water so when you have a large tank do you pay a fortune and use many of these or just get a pond UV?

Personally i would be using it to clarify the water so would a pond UV be better suited for my use?

Personal experiences?

It's pretty much the same thing for coralife model except the hose barb fitting are bigger for pond model.

The main difference between pond UV and aquarium UV is that the pond units are rated to combat green water which requires less dwell time as compared to aquarium UV which sterilizes the organisms in the water which requires a longer dwell time. The pond units also tend to have longer power cords.

From my experience i always use pond uv filters and way over size them. - You have no problem watching the flow rate as these work with high flow rates.
On my 300 gallon i have a tmc 55w and it works wonders. You can notice a huge difference.
For your tank i would use the TMC UV 110 . You can pick them up on ebay for £60 to £90.
Just make sure if you replace the tubes to get philips replacement tubes. - Superior quality
