Hey MFKers,
I am only 14 and I am building my first, and there fore biggest "tank", in my life.
It will be approximitally 2000+ gallons and the estimated pond liner is 21 by 21 foot
I am goin all in
It will be a circlish pond with a 10 foot diameter aand 4 feet deep

I am looking for advice and tips... It will have koi/Goldfish and turtles
I want it to be active in the winter (keep fish in)
I am looking for any donations, no matter how small... Liner, pumps and equipment
LMK what you think and anything else you can give...
Thanks so MUCH!!!!

Technically a pond is a very large fish tank. Most pond will require at least 1 time turnover per hour. It depends on what you have in there and type of filter. If you have more fishes or turtles, you will need a larger filter or more circulation. Also the sides needs to be fairly straight to prevent raccoons from getting in. If you have dog outside, usually the raccoons don't come by. If you are going to have turtles with fishes, an island with a slanted platform will be needed so the turtles can get out and sun themselves. The turtle will climb out the sides of the pond unless the walls are tall. For ponds with fishes, it won't look right. You may have to fence the perimeter of the pond to keep them in. Also, the koi's and goldfish like to get at the plants. So the plants can get destroyed. Good Luck.
