Hey guys old and future monsterkeeper with a few questions.
I am lookingto building a 6x2x2 tank for my arrowana and as a second stage grow up tank for my redtail catfish.
so my questions are

1. plywood with tiles completly siliconed and a glass front, is this possible or would it no matter what leak?

2. would a playwood frame covered in pond line and a glass front work? like a ply tank with no front seal on the glass front and screw into place. then use smaller strips of glass to hold the rest of the pond liner together.

sorry its so vague I will try and get some visual ideas but i hope some one gets the idea

thanks

I have not been able to find a canadain dealer for a pond sealent. I may not know the right people but i ahve not been able to locate a dealer and the const to ship it is ridiculous.

Here are a couple players in the Ply tank world.

Zavlar is Liquid rubber and some here swear by it. I think it is a good product but the glass sealing can be a problem sometimes. This is a Canadian brand.

This is marine epoxy. It is what I am using on my 240 gallon tank. Some don't like it because they think it is brittle and prone to cracking. My theory is that if it can that the abuse of a boat on choppy water it will stand up to my tank. Tried to find Canadian distributors but don't know the postal codes there.

There are many other products out there to use but these seem to be the most prominent.

Good luck,
