It will be a dented circle shape with a 9/10 foor diameter,
It will be 3.5 feet deep and inground
I dont know if i should use these liners...
Check out this link and let me know which liner I should use...
This is the link: http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs...tpc=1&Ntpr=1#/?c=1&Ns=P_REP_PRC_MODE|0&Nao=72
This is the onee I think I should use: http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc...splay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053
LMK what you think
Thanks

Lol, no offense but those you provided links for are for protecting areas while you're painting...they aren't made to hold water especially for a long period of time.

I would suggest something more like this,

& if you only want to buy from home depot, here are some from there...

Or you can just buy a plastic molded/preformed pond like this instead,

You can usually find better deals on pond liners from online pond places. Even local pond or landscaping places that specialize in the stuff.

Try getting into your phone book and looking up the landscaping section then start calling around.

I wound up using a local company that caters to very large commercial and government lining projects. They had everything from 20 mil on up to 45 mil, you will find PVC, Poly-Eth, rubber, and a few other types of liners. Some are more flexible than others, some are tougher than others.

In the end, you are doing pretty well if you can be in the 35-45 cents a square foot range. My pond is about 20-25 feet long by about 15 feet wide while only being about 3 feet deep.

I should have gone bigger and now I am considering digging it out this winter and enlarging it by about 5 feet in length and 1 foot in depth. I managed to get a pair of jack demspseys up to pretty good size this summer, out of 4 of them 2 more than doubled in size and became a mated pair, while the other 2 have been chased around the pond and haven't grown much due to the two dominant fish. My 4 tin foil barbs have almost tripled in size from when they went in in June.

Whatever size you think you are comfortable with, go about 1/4 to 1/2 again larger if you have the space to do it. I'm actually at 5 ponds, 4 of which are up and running. Top of the waterfall has 2 mortared in 50 gallon tubs, a stream breaks from each one and pours into two additional tubs, one is 90-100 gallons while the other is around 200-250 gallons. Streams then branch off of these and then pour into the big pond.

What I found, the reason I wish to have gone bigger, is my streams and smaller ponds, that water feature almost winds up dwarfing my main pond. The sense of scale isn't quite right.

i think when i get around to building my pond i will just have my father in law get me some Frac pond liner
