Ponds Vs. Aquariums.

Why is it when a big catfish like an RTC is in a 600 gallon tank it looks OK, but when its in a pond 1500 gallons or so, it looks cramped...?



its got to be the angle.

even in my pond. i look at my fish and think, "man they could probably use more room" but i could easily put them in a 300 gallon tank together and they would look fine...

idk. just something that been eating at me for about an hour.

I think that since you can't see from a side view it looks like it's in a foot of water, but that's just the light distortion from the water.

that pond usually are the same width and length.. making it look shorter than a 10 foot tank?
