Pool filter sand ok?

Getting ready to get back into stingrays.Have not had one in about 5 years or so, maybe longer.But when i did i always used a small gravel as substrate.Now i am looking at setting this tank up with sand.Is pool filter sand ok to use in a freshwater stingray tank.

Yep. There are many ray keepers on here who use pool filter sand, but it's recommended to use quartz pool filter sand, and not silica sand. Silica supposedly has sharp edges that can be irritating and cause sores.
