Pool filter sand......

This has probably been asked before... but i was just wondering if pool filter sand has any affect on PH levels? And how many type of pool filter sands are there, and which do members use most?

i use the stuff from leslies pool supplies, $15 for 50# i believe. very clean and no effect on anything thus far...

i bought mine from a pool place also called aloha pools. it was 9.95 for 50lb bag.its called mystic white. THIS SAND ROCKS, i went from playsand to this. much better!!

The pool filter sand I used said on the package it was inert. Had no affect on ph

Mine left my PH alone.. I think the most popular sand is 3M color quartz, but you have to find a dealer that carrys it. Other than that, just regular pool filter sand. 3M stuff comes in different colors, also.

Pools require certain pH's too. So any pool filter sand should be inert.
