I have read several different threads and tried to figure it out but haven't been able to. If I use pool filter sand will it irritate or cause any problems for my motoro rays. I am trying to fill the bottom of my 500 gallon and am trying to go as cheap as possible but still stay safe. I know the silica play sand is to sharp and scratches up the bottom of them and it can possibly get infected and do real harm, but is pool filter sand different. If so where can I get it, if not can you suggest and cheap alternatives. Thanks
