is a cheap pool ok to use for an indoor pond. i want to do all native fish like bass, bluegill, channel catfish, sunfish, ect.....

yeah I have two of them in my basement just be warned of the massive humidity problem you will have to deal with
Many kiddie pools are not suitable, the soft plastic bottomed ones usually don't last long and the hard shelled ones tend to be to small for the fish you list. Look into the stock troughs made by companies like rubbermaid or Koenders, they make 300g and 425g respectively. These are long lasting and sturdy enough to stand up to being kneeled on etc. the 425g is 26" tall and 96" outer diameter with hollow walls that can be filled with standard fiberglass insulation if desired, they are sturdy enoungh that you can sit on the edge safely.
a kiddy pool would be fine. many people use them with sucess. Most pools also tend to be much larger the stock tanks also.
Look at www.stockyardsupply.com 's galvanized and poly stock tanks.
