I have a tank with a few really young fish, and in this tank i had two little Golden perch (yellow bellies), I looked in the tank about half an hour ago, and there is now only one 8(, my biggest Barramundi musta thought he looked yummy. I have a really little tank which is holding a young Murray cod until I can get it a bigger tank, so I put the surviving yellow belly (I know it's nature, but I grow easily attached to cute little things with big bug eyes) in that tank for now.
Okay down to my questions, Murray Cods are a notoriously aggresive/territorial fish. The one I have is really young, as big as the yellow belly. I thought it'd be cool if these two fish became sorta tank mates and got on with each other, I'm thinknig since they are both young there is the slight, slightest, smallest chance they will bond with each other? I want to know have any of you had a situation where your murray cod (or other notorious agressive fish) has bonded with another fish.
I'll probably have to eventually seperate these two once I get another tank since th Murray cod is such a territorial fish, but if they did bond, I'd keep them together, 8)
