If I had room for another Oscar I'd pick him up and try to nurse him back to health.. I see so many things wrong with him in this pic.. it's depressing.

I think it's bad water quality as opposed to breeding, although last I heard no one really knew what caused it, just guesses. Oscars are usually prone to it as they are very messy and do not have the maintenance required for such a fish. The LFS here takes in 8-12" Oscars all the time that have HITH really badly.
