I have an adorable African Dwarf Frog...he's one of the tiny little dudes...Well, the other day my BF said "The Frog's Dead-he bailed" I responded with "Are You SURE he's dead?", he replied "Yes! and the cat is having a great time playing with him"

Oh Gads, here we go again...I went over and looked and poor Froggy. He was stiff, legs fully extended front and back. The cats were now crowded around in a circle, patting him gently. OK, After a few painful losses, I have developed a really warped sense of humor....so I even grabbed the camera..it did look funny....this dead stiff frog on the rug.....and all of the cats SOOOO into it. Then one cat named "FunnyThinker Supercat" picked up the Frog in his mouth, again and again, he didn't bite it, he didn't know what to do.

THEN FROGGY MOVED!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh I freaked! So we promptly tossed the dead, dried up frog into the Aquarium (Community 55) and he shed a thick coat of cat hair and took off swimming (more like hauling a**!)Then he popped up for a big breath of air and dove to his rock and hid.

He's just fine, back to normal, except he didn't learn, now I had to tape all around the tubes that go into the tank, he's trying to escape again.........
never said there was a brain in the frog..........but it sure was nice to see him rise from the dead!:frog:

OK, I'm on dialup, so it takes 15 mins per pic, but here's one of the five times the cat picked him up-let me see what I get to load!
Man, the one with all of the cats was too blurry, so here's the best 2!

Glad I'm not the only one with warped humor!!! That frog stayed in the "stiff" position for a good fifteen minutes...never even twitched.....the cat kept trying to pick it up in his mouth, but this poor cat has had no hunting experience, he had a brain tumor as a kitten, so it kinda screwed up his kitty brains after the surgery. My pets are in lieu of having kids......

Maybe it was trying to give it kitty CPR.
Good one! I gave a cat CPR once, it worked too!!!
A frog? No, I guess we'll give ole' FunnyThinker the benefit of the doubt and say, Yes, he was doing Froggy CPR and it worked! Either that or that's what happens when the frog gets kissed by a cat instead of a princess????

Does anyone else have a problem with the African Dwarf Frogs climbinf the tubing and escaping from the Aquarium???? If so, what do you do to correct the issue?

Glad the frog survived. My albino clawed frog got out and actually made it into the cats water dish!!!
