I've been to an out of town fish store today get new fish and ended coming home with Royal about an inch long that doesn't look in great shape. My 8yr old son fell for the little guy and asked me if we could save him!! I know i should'nt have bought him but....those puppy dog eyes!! Any help or tips to try and nurse him back to health would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Maybe a little too far gone.

If it's in the tank already, slowly raise the temperature up to 85 or so. Maintain good water quality, this is when you can't get lazy, need to setup a container for fresh water to be at the same temperature for the water change. Make sure there's driftwood and some veggies for him to eat when he's ready. Don't bother with regular fish food/wafers yet. Don't turn on the lights for a few days. Make it as relaxed as possible.

I would make sure it's eating first, before trying to deworm. It's too skinny and maybe too weak to go through the de-worming process, even something as mild as prazipro.
