pop eye inevitable?

hey-

I've got a 4in jardini growing out in a 125gl. i only feed him arrowana sticks, krill/bloodworms/crickets.

noticed this morning that one of its eyes is developing the symptoms of pop eye. my params are normal and i don't feed my fish feeders.

What does the water quality of your tank look like? I have noticed when ever I had a fish get pop eye it was because I was slacking a little bit on there water quality. I used Melaix to treat my Trimac when he got pop eye and it took 3-4 weeks to treat. Melafix has been the most effective treatment of pop eye over any other thing I have used.

i use melafix as well. i can't remember exactly what my params were, but i know the ammonia and nitrates were almost 0, maybe 10ppm at most. ph is 7.5-8.00
