I have a clown knife with popeye, I put melafix in and am wondering if there is anything else I can do to help it get better.

You will need something stronger. Melafix always a better preventative than a cure. I'd go with a stronger antibiotic, that says it's for Popeye. Good luck!

i got some maracyn-tc, will that be good, because this knifefish is pellet trained and has 17 spots on one side and 15 on the other and i really dont want to lose him.

Wonderful news! Sounds like you got it right away in the beginning. What are your water parimeters?

ph is about 7.0-7.5 and i dont have an ammonia test kit but i have a fire eel in there to and its doing really good so i'm guessing the water is pretty good, i think he hurt himself because some workers were using a jackhammer on the other side of the wall the tank on (getting a new bathroom put in).
