Popped Eye

Hey guys I just noticed a few days ago that my albino peacock male has a slightly popped eye. It kinda came out of no where... Is there anyway to shrink it or does he have to live with it? Thanks.

I think he'll just have to live with it, and so it won't get infected maybe some salt

AH ok, he's bred for me a few times and still looks cool (except for eye), he got the job done for me.

Some epsom salt may draw out some of the fluid behind the eye. Whats your nitrates like?

Will aquarium salt work for this just as well as epsom salt?

would be a good idea to get the nitrates below 20ppm, that would help . . . if he actually has popeye, you can cure that with Maracyn Plus

It could be a number of things, but this happened to my oscar. One eye just started protruding....then it got worse. Eventually she stopped eating and when I saw blood in the iris, I had to put her down.

After I euthanized her, I poked it with a hypodermic needle and blood came out. In my case it seemed to either be trauma-related or a bacterial infection.

I hope yours is something different!
