what about the 928s,anyone here ever have one or know much on them? Browsing around I saw this one I liked, just using it for an example so dont feel the need to break this one down.

get ready to spend lots of money! hig cost of maintenance. I dont know what you drive now but your insurance will probably increase drastically as well.

The 928S was my dream car for so long it's embarrassing (eg. see Tom Cruise's "Porsche: There is no substitute" in Risky Business). A few years ago I got very close to buying a very nice mid-1980s model, but was told (by the engineer we asked to check it out) that Porsche were about to stop making the parts. I don't know for sure whether that was true, but it was enough to put me off the car.

I bought a Nissan 350z Roadster instead. Two years' later, I still think it was the better move. Those Nissan engineers may be certifiably insane, but they make a *nice* car.

The wife got a 2000-model Boxster S -- could be another option for you.

That's the only model porche I've ever liked and it's one of their cheapest models. Go figue.
