Port Acara

I have a wild caught peruvian port acara in my 55 gal and today I discovered surprisingly he is very mean. I always though acaras were kinda peaceful but he is mean. I was using my magfloat and all my fish were being wusses and were in the corner (even my pikes) and he was attacking it. I could feel the magfloat moving when he hit it and I could hear it. I thought he was gunna knock himself out and he is only like 3.5" or so. I just thought I would see if anybody else has had any experience with agressive port acaras.

never kept port acara
but i have a blue acara in my 55G and he's the one picking fights with my convicts
I thought all Aequidens are supposed to be peaceful, but maybe it depends on the fish.

how long have you had him for?
wild fish tends to be a bit more aggressive

I have had him for at least a month now and he was always a fierce little one. I cant wait until he gets bigger. Does anybody know how big they are supposed to get. I have read from 6" to like 10" if he got that big that would be awsome. He is a very cool fish.
