Guys,

I saw this monstrous looking fish for sale at a wholesaler in Bombay/Mumbai.

I think it's a Freshwater Lionfish/Frogfish/Toadfish (Batrachomoeus trispinosus). I hope the experts here can give me a positive ID and some tips on tank requirements and compatible tank-mates.

look like a stonefish oyster cracker. toadfish wich ever ya call it. Always been told they can snap your finger if they bite ya

I looked around on the internet for more info. Most links point to this: http://www.aqualandpetsplus.com/Oddball, Stonefish.htm

That page says, they are "flexible" and are OK with in a freshwater set-up. I am not so sure about this.

If I get one, I would want to keep him in a 200Gal freshwater tank with 1x Silver Aro (~24"), 2x FL Gars (~18"), 3x Oscars and 1x Jaguar (~12"), 1x P. Endlicheri (~20") and 1x P. Ornatopinni (~13")

Still researching on this..
