Positive ID?

Picked this guy up about 6 months ago as a Gold Diamond. What exactly do I have here?

Well, It definatly isn't a GDR, but it almost looks like a Vinny. I think its just a black rhom with yellow gill coating. Alot of those have been coming out of Peru lately.

only thing you can know for certain is that you have a rhom. without knowing the collection point you would simply be guessing anything else and you can use any terms you want to describe your rhom.

imo it looks like a GDR, i really can't see how it could possibly be a vinny, personally, i have never seen vinnys with that yellow gill plate, and this one doesn't have the blue sheen of vinny's ethier. if i had to take a guess from any rhom, it would be a gold diamond

its a purple eared longback sugar Rhom. call it what you want, its still just a rhom.

The only problem with that is that the fish isn't gold, it's black. And it doesn't have a diamond shaped back, it's more rounded like a common rhom

A rhom is a rhom and sir you have a beautiful specimen no matter what *** ass name dealers put on them to make some more $$$.
