Okay so I have my 265 which was supposed to be sold but I haven't heard from the guy in over two months. So I am keeping the tank and thinking of setting it up as FOWLR.

This is what I am planning on getting to set the thing up.

200-300 rated gallon wet/dry Dual overflows 36" x 14" x 16"(sump box)

ReeFlo Gold Barracude Pump

(2) Maxi-jet 1200 powerheads 295gph

(3) Nova Extreme HO Lights- 2 x 24W-T5-10,000K/460nm

280lbs of Live Aragonite Natural White reef sand

Not sure how much live rock yet as I want to make two triangular piles in the back two corners.

What are opinions?

the sumps sounds a little small.. if the power goes out i think it'd overflow.. but i guess it depends on your overflow boxes...

use some base rock for a bulk of the rockwork and then cover the base rock with some live rock (use the premium stuff seeing as you saved some money on the base rock)

i'd also use fewer big rocks, rather than more smaller rocks.. looks better IMO

what were you planning on stocking?

well I have a blue spiney lobster(tiny little guy) growing in my bio cube now. So he will eventually go in there, but I would like a sweetlips. Not really interested in too much other stuff. I like the blue spotted stingrays (I've kept fresh water rays so I know about difficulty) But don't think it could live in a 265. So probably my lobster and a sweet lips.
