Possible Breeding among SA and CA cichlids

Hey all, I was just wondering if anyone has knowledge about what different species of american cichla can breed. One of my friends said that they had convicts and something else mate (I wasnt really paying close attention).

I have Green Terrors, Firemouths and convicts. I was wondering if any of these might pair off in a transpecies way. Thanks if you can clear this up for me
