So I was just doing my nightly feedings of my tanks and I noticed that my bichir tank water was hot, like realllllly hot! It's currently at 104 degrees... So I unplugged the heater and have opened up the lid to help air flow to cool it off. My lap that is in there seems to be fine, he doesn't look affected at all. I'm Contemplating doing a like 25 % water change to help cool it off but I don't wanna throw him into shock any any input would be great thanks in advance

104? yikes! ice cubes in a bag should work,

Plus a fan blowing across the top of the tank will help

Water is down too 82 degrees it's being heated by my back up heater for now, the lap seems unaffected. Other then an bacterial bloom everything seems alright, thanks everyone
