Hey guys, picked up this guy a less than a week ago at LFS. He ate fine the first couple days then all of a sudden he became less interactive and stopped eating.
I moved him into a qt tank. Turned up temp to 86 and added some salt.
I noticed this white spot on his tail fin and noticed the region got bigger over night. I know this is probably not fin rot. Could this be a fungal infection and should I treat with pimafix asap or will heat and salt hopefully resolve it?

looked like some sort of fungal infection thst started from the tail fin.
