I went to the local "Petco"(kinda like Petsmart) tonight just looking to see what they had,all of a sudden my son Alex comes running over telling me that thier I.D. sharks didnt look right. So i walked over to thier tank and noticed he was right, then a funny thought came into my head, could it be??I called over the clerk who then explained that the store wasnt happy with this shipment(the I.D."s)so i could have 1 for $3.00.Now i am no expert on these, but it is in the same tank with a reg I.D. and there are major differences between the 2,for 1 thing the new fish has a wider and bigger head, its eyes seem alot larger, and its tail is alot bigger also,so do you guys think that these could be Parroon sharks?? Here are some pics....

If your lucky could be a dwarf pang, but I've only heard of two in the hobby, and those were not on the forums...

eh, could still turn out to be a paroon.
just looks sick atm

dorsal fin isnt built the same the paroon has a trailer.

the obvious difference is the fin and tail tips, paroons have more longer and sharper tips.
it can be determined easily if they are more than 4 - 5" long. smaller ones almost look like the same but the color of paroons is more black and iridescents are dark blue when they're young.

as far as i know paroons are more predatory and they have stronger olfactory and sight. and they growth rate is more than iridescents.

yours looks like a reg I.D.

Yeah im gonna beef him up,he is a little on the bully side though,he keeps chasing a Goldfish my son has in there and has the other I.D. up in the corner.Pretty wierd.
