Hey guys, my red severum and my Oscar started getting what looked like ick on their fins... I treated heavily with salt and warmed the tank up to 86 f. The Oscars' fins look a little better but my severum is still loaded on the rear and dorsal, but now I'm thinking possible fungus? Please see picture, the white pieces have gotten a little larger and are actually protruding off the fins. I'm a little lost here, any help is greatly appreciated I don't wanna lose my red beauty

Looks like ich to me keep up the treatment and remember to gravel vac.

It does look like ick. Ick sometimes takes at least a few weeks to a month or more to cure depending on its severity. When it is spots on the fish, it is immune to treatment, and ick is vulnerable when the spots burst into hundreds more ick.
This is why you must treat for a length of time, and not expect immediate results.
And sometimes the holes left by the ick, are vulnerable to secondary infection, which may be why you may be seeing evidence of fungal activity.
