Well here goes, I am thinking of placing an order next month and I am putting together a list. Any ideas on top of what I list will be appreciated. I will order from Leif at Old World, Peter at Atlantis, or Stu at the DenverCichlidarium. I do not know if I will keep many of the same species. I am considering diversifying. My first breeding colony is a group of 11 adult Zebra Plecos(mainly because mature Zebras are hard to find). Priority will go with the more rare and expensive fish before I get a bunch of Aulonocara species back in. Post any ideas for rare fish.

This is my list so far:

Albino Eureka Reds - (I will replace with fry from my prized male)
Aul. Maylandi Sulphurhead - wild
Aul. jac. Otter Point - wild
Aul. Flavescent - wild
Aul. Ethylwynnae - wild if possible
Petrochromis Bulu Point - have a possible source
P. Demasoni - wild
Albino Yellow Labs - juvies from my strain
Copad Verduyni
Pundamilia sp Red Flanks
Pundamilia Nyereri Anchor Islands, Python Islands, Igombe Islands, Mwanza Gulf
Xystichromis Phytophagus
Pundmailia Blue Bar Hippo Point
Aul. Lemon Jake - wild
etc, etc

I have a lot more including SA/CA and so on. I will be getting a rare wild pair of parachromis in the next week as well. Since this is african cichlids I will not list what I am getting from the SA/CA category. I think my list is kind of boring keeping the same fish. I love the africans I had and will eventually replace all species I had. I am doing this to get ideas for rare hard to find stuff. Thanks everyone and I think i'll be back up and running sooner than I had originally planned.

Wow..jhutch I am so glad to hear that. Welcome back!!!

What about adding even some more vics to that list? The Paralbidochromis Chromgynos that LadyB and I have are rare and critically endangered.

So glad to hear you are coming back, this time better than before?

I will definately be adding more Vics. I do love them and I want to find as many species as possible over time. It will be hard to choose what to get to start with though.

I know what you mean, when it comes to Vics, I'm like a kid in a candy store!

That's why I am getting a list together so I can just put in a large order to somewhere. Be like Christmas when they come in only better(of ourse anything will be better tan this Christmas was).:D

Well looks like I might dive into Tangs more. Got some nice large colonies of Tropheus Ilangi, Ikola Kaiser, Fire Cracker Reds, some Cyprichromis, some Ikola Frontosa, and some other nice stuff. May just have to take a road trip again and stock some large colonies. $2800 for the large wild caught Ilangi colony.

I have to get a couple hundred Trophs if I want a group of 10 - 12 of the Bulu Points because of their aggression.

thats great news! so did you get your tanks back? or did you just go buy some more? good to hear youre getting back on your feet!

Well I have access to my tanks and what is left of my stock(Moba Frontosa, Hongi, Cobue, Discus, and my Parachromis Fredrichsthalii). So now I am going to start restocking in a month or so. My colony of 11 Zebra Plecos set me back $4,000 so I have to wait which is why I am making a list so I know what I want.
