first off hello and thanks in advance. Ok I have two peacock bass about 3 to 4 inches but still skinny ALOT more growing to do. also i have a geo jurapari about 6 to 7 inches, my question is my LFS has a 7 inch maybe long nose gar i believe would there be an issue with the jurapari? hes in a tank with a peacock thts not my worry but the jurapari can be a pain sometimes he thinks hes the king of the tank.

there is a very good chance he would kill or severely injure the longnose. they are very prone to spinal column injury and if the gar gets chased it could easily end up slamming the glass and breaking its back. i would use much caution in making this decision.

do you think theres a chance the jurapari would just leave the gar alone since the gar will probably just be chillin in its own zone? he only used to chace my older mono's my new orinos granted are much smaller but he doesnt really bother them...

sorry its a florida gar.... and i can buy it for 20 dollars i just dont want any harm to any fish

if you know your jurupari can be aggressive then that is a risk you need to decide if you are going to take or not. i keep no aggressive fish w/ my gar. i try tankmates and watch them. if they show aggression then they are gone. aggressive tankmates also make it harder for gar to get food in the tank. i personally would not mix the two.

well its not a attack aggression its more of him trying to claim his zone in the tank...

how big is the tank? i may be wrong...they could get along fine, but there is always that chance that it could not work.

as of right now just a 75... soon 200 plus. i never thought of a jurapari territorial but he just sbasically "shoooos" them out of his zone and chills. eating and spitting rocks

well maybe no type of aggression will be shown in a tank size that huge so it may work or it may not as of what demjor19 said. When u get ur new 200 plus tank make sure their is alot of stuff on the bottom like large rocks,Caves, crevices and such to give the juripari a territory of its own on one side of the tank. And if adding another new fish into the fully established tank with territories made already.....mix the ornaments and rocks around so your fishes will all need to make a new territory.
