Possible new tank.

I have a chance at a 220gal. This thing comes with light, filters, stand, canopy. The only problem is that the bottom center brace is broken. It's not off, just split. Looks like it's broken in the middle and across not front to back. The tank is priced at $650 and is 8 yrs old. Is it a good deal or could that split cause me problems?

it states that the plastic trim is cracked, should be ok but check for cracks/chips on the glass

my 75g works fine with center brace broke you can tell it bows if you lok from the side but holds water jsut don't fill all the way i fill to black bace

it doesnt seem like that great of a deal though...even for a perfect tank with no broken brace...

I would mention that you want the tank but only for much cheaper

also keep in mind that a member on here had a bottom of a large tank blow out and almost start a fire in the middle of the night. Might pay to wait for a solid one for the same price

I agree,really not a great deal for the price anyways.I wouldnt chance it,water can do ALOT of damage....
