Do you guys think it would be possible to add a pike to a 125 gal with the following mix. Those under the line I'm willing to move to other tanks to free up space. If so what species would be ideal? thanks!

current fish:
JD (female)
Paratilapia 'small spots'
Severum
Red hump (male)
blue acara
-----
Geo. surinamensis
Bujurquina vittata
Chocolate cichlid
H. nicaraguense
firemouth

Your in luck buddy! N-E Cichlids can get in some PERFECT pikes for your set up, they are $45 a pop, and you need to tell him that you want them by tomorrow. They are called Crenicichla acutirostris! GORGEOUS PIKES! Very slender, not very aggressive, and can knock the socks off of most SW FISH!! Just beautiful!!

Cobras are not aggro peanut?

cobras and auc.'s aren't the same pike. the one peanut is talking about is very slender and about 9 verticle black stripes on it...let me find a pic.

not a good pic, but:

The acutes are quite stunning. They are more slender and less aggro than a lot of other pikes. They don't get nearly as robust as say marms or lents. The pic that X24 posted is of a juvie, they only get better with age.

Mr, Ahem, Mrs. Garrison?

would something like Cr. compressiceps be possible? or is it too small? What about any of the larger species.

those in the pics look pretty interesting though.
