So ive had my bass for about 2 months and this has happened twice during feedings. His upper lip is extending and getting stuck somehow. Im not exactly sure what's up with him, he shook off his funny face in a few seconds the first time. Now its been stuck a couple minutes this time. Does he have some sort of deformity or is their anything I can do to help him when this happens. Does anyone have experience with this?

Yeah, his life has been rough enough hes almost completely blind in one eye and he shook off that face twice In the past 15 minutes, but he keeps getting it stuck back. But im starting to see some sort of indent in between his nostrils might have something to do with it.

This guy was seriously doing bad and I thought I might have lost him today. He started lying on his side, tail standing and looked like he was having trouble breathing. I was getting ready to pull him out set that lip back myself. But this fish had, had enough he got up started doing laps around my 125, biting, shaking , rubbing his face against the driftwood and then he finally smacked the glass head first and set the sucker back into place. He is really stress out right now, but is doing alot better. This seems to only happen when he eats floating pellets from the top of the tank, so he is on strictly massivior from now on. I am so relieved and have even more respect for this guy.
