Hi, im helping someone to treat a sick parrot fish in her place.
Hes in a very small tank, arounfd 30 liter where he s been for the past year.
nitrates were extremely high, around 300ppm, now after alot of WC its around 100 and we will continue to decrease it next days.
the tank is cycled ,thers filter and air stone and temp is 28.
Around 10 days ago he started to lose color and around a week ago hi anus start to pertrude. 2 days afterward he stopped eating and started to act distressed breathing fast and hanging alot near the surface.
Im trying to think whats the best course of action. beacuse he is in a bad shape i dont think WC alone will be enough and i think a medical treatment is needed.. i dont know if i should treat with and antibiotic or antiparasitic.
What do you think? does it really look like a prolapse to you?
