Tank is a five foot/two foot/two foot....5/2/2...566 litre...150us gallon

1 very large gibbicep plec... 14+inches

4 silver bala sharks...12inches

1 spotted silver dollar...8inch disc

4 pim pictus catfish...4-5inch

1 senegal birchir...8inch

1 chocolate cichlid.....8-9inch

1 channa pluero...9-10inch

my question is if i rehome the silver sharks <bala> and the pictus can i have either

a african lung fish or a jardini arowana in this tank, have both of these in my local fish shop

I wouldn't risk it. Neither of those tend to play well with others. You could try it of course. I would go with the jar if you do, tank might get a bit tight for an aflung.

Thats cool thanks for imput, i was actually thinking, the jardini is only 3-4inch and not 100% sure of the size of the african lung as it was hiding but looks around 7-8inch,it was kept in a tank with corys and dwarf cichlids which made me wonder...think jardini would need to grow some before adding to the five foot as think the pluero might munch on him....

You know how it is see something you thinks cool and all logic goes out the window, think i might leave it, but shall be removing my pictus from the tank as caught the pluero eyeing one up the other day, problem is granted there quick but they have those needle fins which if eaten i think would cause some serious damage,

Anyone have any idea's on what i could add comfortable to this mix,my problem is the pluero's size so cant have little fish as would be snack

If you can get your hands on a South American lung they're known to be quite a bit better with tankmates than the Africans.

Is an Asian aro an option? Generally less aggro than a jardini.

These are very rare finds in my neck of the woods, hehe

all i can find is the jardini, the african lung and silver arowana, thats as odd we get..
