Ok so I'm gonna upgrade my current 70g tank to a 150g by next week. The dimensions are 5x2x2.
Filtration consist of a sump that comes with the tank and a FX5 so it shouldn't be a problem.

Now with bigger tank comes more fishes.

My Current stocklist (ranked based on my liking)

  1. Ornate
  2. Senegal
  3. Palma polli
  4. Delhezi
  5. Ropefish
My wishlist (ranked based on my liking)

  1. Lapradei
  2. Endlicheri
  3. Retropinnis
  4. Albino senegal

So my question is, how many (if any) of those from my wish list could I add on to my current stocklist? Or that I'll still be overstocked?
Do note that the list would be for life as I don't intend to upgrade my tank anytime soon.

Please do not give me a list which would be fine for a growout
(like in my very FIRST post in MFK asking on stocking where some members told me an Ornate would be fine in a 70g)

And also (in case you start asking) I would take note that all bichirs in my tank are appropriately sized so that chances of getting eaten would be minimize. I know ornates are known to munch down on bichirs of similar size but mine seems quite timid and I'll take my chances with it.

i'd probably say pass on the lap

keep them all ........... but seriously i wouldnt know for sure :D
guess the baddest & biggest are endli, ornate & lapra .... just keep them in your watch

If the filtration can take it, go for all of them.
I don't see a real problem. The Lapradei will be fine.
I would take the Rope out of that mix though and you may have problems with the lower jaws and the retro and sen.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

Ok thanks i'll give some serious consideration about the stocking esp with the ropefish.

Update, I just found a better (and more MONSTEROUS) deal. It would be a 6 x 2.5 x 2.5 tank.
Would pay a trip to the owner's house tonight to check the condition of the tank.

You know what it means? MORE BICHIRS!!!
