Hey guys I recently acquired a grass pickerel that is 6 inches and is gonna be permanently housed in my 200 gallon. Right now nothing else is living in there with him, what do you think some good tank mates would be? I was thinking one or two LMB but dont know how that would go since LMB are rather aggressive. Maybe you guys can help me out? What about a florida gar?

LMB or gar would eat it. Try a pickerel community. You might even get a spawn if you play your cards right.

How many pickerel do you think I could fit in there without having them stressed or cramped? Also how would some smaller sun fish or bullhead cats do?

sunfish and bullheads would be excellent - just make sure the sunfish aren't too big, or they may start harassing him which means death for most Esox ssp. They just can't take being chased around. Provide plenty of cover and you could do several sunnies, several pickerel, several cats. That would be pretty darn sweet.

Ok as I'm planning maybe three pickerel 2 bull head and 2-3 green sunfish or pumpkin seeds.? Sound good?

sounds good - maybe 2 or 3 more sunfish to help them keep the squabbling amongst themselves.

alright well the pickerel is in the 200 all by his lonesome so maybe this weekend ill go trackin for some bullheads.

Make sure they aren't too big - 6 inches is an easy snack for a subadult bullhead. Go for 3 inchers if you can.

yes orangespotted, longear, bluegill, warmouth, rock bass, pumpkinseed, crappie, green, are all attainable for me.
