Possible tank mates for my SAL

I'm in the process of planning my future tank for my SAL. The tank would be at least 6'x2'x2'. I've been liking the earth eaters recently so would either of these fish work: Geophagus surinamensis or Satanoperca daemon? I believe they are realively peaceful but if not any suggestions on other peaceful midwater fish?

In general you should be fine with anything that isn't A) small enough for the SAL to eat (although I have a single zebra danio with my SAL that's been there for over a year) or B) not going to harass the lung. They are pretty versatile in terms of tankmates.
