as some of you may know, i’m buying a 155 gallon tank. J Joshuakahan was kind enough to give me this recommendation for stocking it based off of some of my fish interests. i tailored it a little bit. 5 Silver Dollars, 1 hepsetus odoe, a Black ghost knife and an endli bichir. would this work?

In theory they could work. If they're roughly the same size. But feeding may be an issue simply by the fishes nature. So targeted feeding may be needed. But otherwise should be good. Keep an eye out though all fish got their own personalities and they can sometimes be nicer or meaner than what you may find from research so keep an eye out and have fun!

Endli could bully the knife. Be careful and provide plenty of hiding spots.

im gonna have lots of driftwood structure and potentially an okho dragon stone aquascape if I get a good deal on it. ill have a line of live plants across the background mainly being amazon swords but with some other large plants and maybe some smaller ones for sense of scale, and im thinking the BGK will mainly lurk in the plants. I'll have some floating plants for the pike as well. im buying the BGK and silver dollars first so that they can grow to a size where they won't be targeted, and then introducing the predators.

Some fish who live on the bottom dont get proper feeding because the food cant reach the bottom intime lol. Targeted feeding like putting food through a pipe can ensure that they get what they need. I do it to my stingrays who live with arowanas.

One way I solved this problem was mixing food that would float and food that would sink. Then, in this situation the SDs and odoe will be busy with the floating food and they’re generally hesitant to eat off the bottom, so the bichir and knife should be able to get plenty…at least that’s how it played out for me
